Yunqi Guo(郭运奇)

I am a postdoctoral fellow at CUHK, working with Prof. Guoliang Xing in the CUHK AIoT Lab. Before that, I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science at UCLA under Prof. Songwu Lu. My work sits at the intersection of AR/mobile systems, visual–language interaction, and intelligent sensing, always from a user‑centered perspective. I push forward two complementary agendas: accessibility tech that simplifies everyday interactions and AIoT‑based eldercare systems that enable healthy, independent aging. By pairing rigorous systems research with field‑based design, I translate new computing ideas into practical impact.

I also hold an M.S. from UCLA (2018) and a B.S. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (2016), where I worked with Prof. Xinbing Wang.

Fun facts. I regularly visit accessibility‑focused organizations to keep my research grounded. I’m an avid photographer—shots from my Yunqi Guo’s Gallery often become my desktop wallpapers—and I unwind by off‑roading and motorcycling.
